City imposing new building codes that will cost thousands
I have a property that i started renting in 2018. City had their inspectors out to the property and everything was fine, granted me the certificate of occupancy. 5 years later, no change in tenants they said i needed to get an updated inspection so I complied. The new inspection states that i have trip hazards on my sidewalk and the regrading needs to be done around the home as well. Im now looking at a bunch of cement work that will costs me thousands. Mind you nothing has changed with the property from when they inspected it 5 years ago. Its very frustrating. Do i have any recourse here or do i just have to bite the bullet and pay up? Home is in michigan if that helps
