Should I file a claim for "lost rent" with my insurance company?

I have a property that's been sitting want for over ~5months now. This is all due to the inspection process. The property is in Richton Park. The inspector there has been very difficult. The property was inspected in 2021 and everything was fine for occupancy. The tenant moved out late 2022. WE updated and clean up like normal and went to file for the occupancy cert. Every checkpoint, it's either been delayed or this guy would find something "wrong".

The question is, should I file for lost of rental income with my insurance agency? If so, will this have any negative impact to the overall general liability in the future? The SFH has its own policy as well as an umbrella policy that covers the other properties. Any suggestions on what to do?

As far as I know, your insurance company will only cover lost rent if it is due to an insurance claim (eg burst pipe and tenant has to move out).
