Hiring Plumbing / Heating & General Repairs

Hello!

Would anyone have any suggestions as the best way to find good contractors for heating, plumbing and general repairs? There are a lot of companies but we are looking to have more of an in-house person for multiple smaller jobs. Can be contracted or we would have them as a W2 employee. We've searched online and around town but it's difficult to find anyone.
