Tennent filed for bankruptcy after filing for eviction

Aruni Sumanasena

Hello BP community,

I have a tenant who filed for Chap 13 bankruptcy after I filed for eviction. I am working with a lawyer and according to him it may take significantly more time to get the tenant out because of “automatic stay” in effect. I wanted to reach out to the community and see what your experience was like in a situation like this. Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

@Aruni Sumanasena

It’s gonna take some time as mentioned - have you considered cash for keys to get them out?
