section 8 tenant stalling
Hey all!
Lenghty post but wanted to see if someone has ever been in these shoes. So my partner gave 60 day notice to section 8 tenant to vacate by jan 1. the older lady said that she needed time and we granted her 2 weeks additional time to leave jan 20. Now in the midst of all this my partner switched PM companies...and honestly my partner was ok with taking a hit and not getting paid from section 8 in order to get this lady out. What appears happened is, section 8 paid out...what im now wondering is, is it possible to send the funds back to section 8 to be returned so that she can vacate, as we did not accept her portion of the rent in agreement that she could leave early. big scenario i know.
