What are Best Toilets for Small Bathrooms?

Hello All,

I am currently approaching the end of a two flat renovation from hell. The building was built in 1930, and it was a complete gut rehab. The bathrooms, which are quite small, have vanities and walls very close to the toilets. Can anyone suggest a toilet make and model that you have had go experience with for a small space. Thank you in advance.

The width of toilets is very standardized. We've been toilet shopping lately. The depth does vary somewhat, though the biggest variation deals with the "rough in depth". That's usually 12" for new construction but can be 10" for existing construction. That has some impact on depth, but very little on the width. If you think about it, a bowl that was narrower than normal wouldn't be comfortable. They really only make two sizes of toilet seats: round and elongated. And they're the same width.

We did end up buying this toilet:

Polar Bear Toilet

As you can see, the tank is quite narrow. That wasn't really a consideration, but the flush sides were. We bought this locally, but did a lot of looking on build.com. Lots of alternatives there.
