vinyl plank for 2nd floor rentals?
Just picked up an 8 unit and the 2nd floor apartments have carpet currently. I am a big fan of vinyl plank flooring in all rooms, but I am concerned about noise when the 2nd floor tenants are walking around? Am I overthinking this?

Noise when walking on floor mostly has to do with quality of construction. Carpet or lvp is maybe 10% of the equation. If it were me I would definitely use the vinyl plank as that is more durable and easier to clean. It's hard to be profitable with carpet as it almost always has to be torn out or specialty cleaned.
