How do you get paid?

Matt Lane
Posted

I’ve purchased a condo and was curious how you get paid….. I heard it was a bad idea to have it “venmoed” and to always get paid by check.

What is the best way?

* I'll be renting it out to college students. I purchased it in my name but will be moving it over to my LLC.

The absolute last way I want to get paid is by check.  Too easy to say they got lost in the mail and I don’t want to have to deal with the postal service.  I accept Zillow which is free for both parties for free or they can pay a fee for a cc or debit card.  It takes about a week to actually receive the money which while annoying if this is a real issue for your business you are doing it wrong.  I also use zelle and love it since it is instant free and secured.  This would be the ideal situation for roommates to each pay their share assuming their bank supports it, my biggest issue with it is daily limits so sometimes the payments get broken up.
