Luxury Vinyl Plank help

What's your experience with LVP? I need to install a floor (or have it installed.) What's better, interlocking, adhesive, loose lay, or peel and stick, or click/lock?

What thickness of wear layer should I get? What thickness of material? Is the thinnest too thin and cheap? Is the most expensive overkill? I'll be selling the house after a few repairs. I don't want it to look like junk when it goes on the market if I get cheap and install the cheapest junk out there! And I want the new owner to be happy with the floor.

Any brand recommendations? What price per sq. ft. should I be looking at?

I've used a few different brands and LifeProof from Home Depot is my favorite so far.  It's relatively thick with a built in underlayment, locks together well, and is usually a pretty good price.
