Property Management in Binghamton NY Area

Misia Grzebyk
Posted

I recently bought a multi family in Binghamton, NY with the intent for student housing. I'm looking for a property manager since I am not local to the area but have been warned multi times that property management in the Binghamton area is pretty bad and should self manage. I would appreciate any guidance and recommendations, since driving up 3 hours just for check ups is a lot.  Thanks!

Property managers in most areas aren't very good to be honest. I would aim to go down there whenever there next REIA group meets and just ask everyone there for recommendations. Then go and meet with them, interview them (call references too) and pick whichever one makes the most sense. Just don't be afraid to switch if they aren't working out.
