Property manager screening information
Hello, my fiancee and I became accidental landlords due to a job relocation and an underwater home. Being as we now live 2500 miles away and have no experience with rental property, a property manager seemed like a good idea. The home is in my fiancee's name so she had her father take care of finding a property manager for us and set up the contract and whatnot (I did not review the contract btw). Anyway, the property manager finally told us we have an approved tennant. However, I asked my fiance about the tenant and she said that we couldn't have any information whatsoever on the tenant (not even a name) as per the contract with the property manager which seems... unusual. Is that common/standard practice?
