I just bought A house with an extra room attached to it. I furnished it and posted on Airbnb. I have already gotten one today rental another five day rental after that and I have one person who wants to rent for five months. Does anyone know what the law is or the process is in Massachusetts if the person does not want to leave or pay? I’ve looked all over the Internet and can’t find anything specific about this in particular. I mostly found information about the taxes which I am all set with.

@Nia Wingard   The one thing you should know is that a long term stay of greater then 30 days usually fall under landlord tenant laws of the state.  For MA  I am sure if you go to Mass.gov they will have something about eviction although they have made the site harder to navigate.  I don't think you are going to find anything specific about short term rentals if that is what you are looking for.   I think you can just lock them out when there stay is done (if it is < 30 days) like a hotel does but maybe some others will chime in.
