Advice for making sense of color-coding apartments.

Hey BiggerPockets!

So I'm renovating my first apartment, and I decided to go with white walls and black cabinets for the kitchen. I initially planned to install grey vinyl flooring, but my countertops are yellowish, and I might not replace them. I'm now thinking of installing some natural wood vinyl flooring with bronze handles. I am not used to interior coordinating, so please let me know if there's a better way.

P.S. This is my first reno, so my budget isn't the largest.

It looks like you have a good start on it. I wouldn't do bronze with black cabinets, it may be too dark of a look. I would go with brushed nickel knobs/pulls and stainless faucet/sink which will give it a cohesive look. If you end up keeping those countertops due to budget, take a look at Nucore LVT in Wrightsville Almond for a flooring color option; it might look nice with your color scheme. The slight dark tones will tie together with your cabinets. Nucore is a good product and is waterproof. It's sold at Floor & Decor stores. If you are still uncertain, take a photo of what you have over to Floor & Decor or any store that sells flooring products and see if someone will help you choose a color. There is usually a nice salesperson with an eye for design that is eager to help. Good luck and have fun with it.
