Adding parking next to a driveway

Svend W.
Posted

Hi all

My tenants have a driveway that fits one car, but the walkway area next to it could be filled in to make room for an additional car. The current setup seems like a big waste of space to me.

I assume the rules vary from place to place--this is in Evanston--but are there any general gotchas to be aware of when doing this?

Thanks.

    Hi Svend,

Sometimes sidewalks can be very thin (not strong).

You might want to look at that aspect of it.

    Good Luck!
