Property Pay Off Advice

Dana Tenebruso
Posted

Happy New Year All,

Anyone have any suggestions on how to determine what properties I should start with when intending to pay off mortgages? I have units that I hold mortgages on that pretty much all cash flow.  I'd like to start thinking about paying them off to free up more spending but also to increase my monthly cash flow.  Any professional advice?

Hello Dana Happy New Year to you too.

So how we have a few rentals as well and we when we wanted to pay them off, we took all of the extra cash we could spare and put it towards the property with the lowest mortgage. Once that one was paid off we then moved to the next lowest and on and on until we get every one of them paid off. We figured that would work best for us cause then we can make progress quicker. It has worked for us hopefully it can help you as well. Good luck
