Are Rental Softwares Useful?

Hello, I am brand new to Bigger Pockets. My brother wants to look into different rental softwares for our properties that keep track of a lot of the rental business such as leases, payments, credits, tenant autopay, etc. Some softwares include DoorLoop and RentRendi. Does anyone have an experience with these and have any recommendations? Should we use a software platform at all?
