2021 Best insurance companies for landlord policy

Karen Molnar
Posted

Hi, would love some feedback on insurance companies that offer reasonable rates and decent coverage for a landlord policy.  Also what specific coverage is "a must".  Thank you!

@Karen Molnar Please confirm what state your rental property(s) is located. Not all insurance agents are licensed to work in all states. I use an insurance broker that specializes in landlord policies. They also include riders for loss of rents coverage and/or builders risk if your rehabbing a property before you will have tenants occupy. FYI, my insurance broker is licensed in Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. So I recommend you look up posts about insurance recommendations from other REI's here on BP.
