Advice on Evicting in Texas

So my tenants have not paid rent yet this month when due by the 3rd. I went by the house and the mailbox is completely full but there is still furniture in the house. Mail dated August 31st is still in there. They are not answering emails, texts, or phone calls. Anyone have any experience they can share on evicting someone in Houston/Katy, TX or have a link I can read?

OK, I'm probably considered a "doormat" for this by some but: if that story is reasonably credible, I'd cut them some slack. Assuming they catch up with all the payments and give you the full October rent while moving out by the 18th and leave the place in decent condition, I say count your blessings and move on.
