Yearly Rent Increases
Hey everyone, I'm curious to hear from PMs and Investors as to what area you are in and what the rent increases are like on renewals recently. I am looking out of state and thought this was an interesting metric to find where growth is occuring. Thanks in advance!

@Kory Bizal I don't think you'll find what you're looking for. Even if 100 different investors respond, you would still have too small a sample to be of any value. There are people studying rental trends across the country and you would be better off scouring the internet to find those resources.
Like Brad, my lease includes an automatic increase every year. If the market is slow, I can always decide to waive the increase. If the market is hot, I may not keep up with it 100% but I'll stay close and the lack of turnover is usually of greater value than another 5% increase.
