Hello,

I have a tenant living at a rental property for 3 years and they are moving out in the next 45 days. How soon in advance do most people show the property to potential new tenants and how many times a week is acceptable?

I dont want to be a PITA for them but they are moving out in the dead of winter and would like to get this rerented asap. Just want to get everyone thoughts Thanks

It helps if you have this in the contract. My lease states I can market the home, place signs on the rental, and schedule showings with 24 hours notice during the last 30 days of occupancy.

talk to the tenants. You may be surprised to find they don't care and will be easy to work with. Try to accommodate their schedule, if possible. If they push back, remind them that the law only requires you to give notice; it does not require their permission.
