What to do with my savings for down payment
Hey everyone! Im an investor in Chicago and I’m looking to get into my first real estate deal within a 2 year time table. My question is what to do with my savings for the down payment, closing costs, etc?? Should I put it into a MMA with a okay yield for safety or put it into the stock market under my other accounts for a higher yield and add risk of losing that money?? Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Completely up to you and your risk tolerance. Personally with a two year time horizon I would put about half of it into a broad market index just for fun. Then when I get to the two years, if it isn't more than what I put in, maybe I put off the purchase of the investment property. Just my thoughts, but two years is kind of on the bubble between cash and investment, especially with this crash.
