can someone give me your opinion on this cd?
Hi all, I am not looking for an investment at this moment, just a fairly safe place to park my money. I am looking at this cd that is advertised as 3.25% for 15 months. I personally think this is a very sweet deal and the only con is that I cannot touch the money for 15 months, which I am fine with. I have asked around and people seem to think this is not a good option but no one tells me why. I mean I know it is not a good investment but as far as short time saving, I don't really see anything wrong with it, unless this deal is not legit somehow and I don't know anything about it. Can someone please give me your insight? I plan to put in the max insured ($250k) in it. Many thanks in advance!

If you own a house with a mortgage that has higher interest payment than 3.25%, it’s better to pay off your mortagage.
You can always take out HELOC if you need money.
If you don’t have a mortgage, than anything that gives you more than 0% is better. Why not invest in RE?
