MY HELOC IN JEOPARDY

Hello BP!

I need your help once again. So I have refinanced twice before on my personal residence (cash out both times. The latest one I did 6 months ago to make some sorely needed repairs and upgrades) with no issues. Both times the appraisers saw the unpermitted room (enclosed patio) and I was able to cash out with no problem.

Now that I want a HELOC I have ben questioned about this unpermitted room. They want me to hire a GC or structural engineer to review it. The same bank that is doing my HELOC did my cash out refi 6 months ago.

Is there any way around this?

Thanks BP!

Jorge
