Where to from here need some independent advice on what to do now
Hi All,
Bit of background: I was in the states for a while in 2015 in Detroit learning the market did a bit of wholesaling etc.I returned to my home country after 3 months due to personal reasons ( I really wanted to stay in the states as I have a passport so no issues). I've since paid of my mortgage and have no slavery inducing loans to service. All of the houses in my area start at 350K+ and only return small figures of 1300 per month in rent. I saw many deals in and around Michigan for 65-85K that would return 800 USD a month or about $1100 a month where I am from.
It's easy to see that if I sank 250-350k jn the states I could easily get 5 - 7 deals maybe more If I wholesaled the deals myself
I'm seeking honest feedback, Is it a realistic dream to build a portfolio in the USA (Midwest) and combine with 2 yearly inspection trips and maintain a tight communication with people on the ground while living overseas?. I would really love to relocate permantley and just flip houses but I am to committed here with a job and a side business already (maybe in a few years).
