Credit repair company

Hello BP fam,

I recently had a collection agency report a delinquent medical bill to the 3 credit bureaus. It dropped my 800 fico score 125 points. What would the best course of action for me to take in order to get this off my credit report?

1) consult an attorney who could argue my insurance company is liable for this debt, and hope my insurance company will pay the collection agency

2) hire a credit repair company to fight with the collection agency

3) pay the debt ( but what guarantee would i have that the collection agency would remove the collection for the 3 bureaus ? )

If the credit repair company is the best solution, how do I know which credit repair company is trustworthy?

Thank you
