Injury settlement for minor

James Snedaker

Hello everybody,

My young son has been awarded about 150k from an injury settlement. We would like to invest his money into a rental property, instead of an annuity which I'm told is typical for this situation. Has anybody navigated the process of setting up a trust and getting it approved by the court? We are not trying to be aggressive with his money, just believe that a cash flowing property will be a better investment than an annuity for him.

Thanks
