CPA fees for a single rental property

What is a reasonable annual feee for a real estate CPA? My current CPA (been with them 8 years) is retiring and I'm shopping around for a new one. Current CPA charges ~$650-$1000 a year. That comes with some planning, advice and filing. I'm shopping around and seeing fees in the multiple thousands of dollars per year for a CPA. I only have one SFH rental at the moment but looking to purchase another SFH and STR later in the year. Am I delusional thinking that $4-7k a year for a CPA is outrageous or is that the norm now?

@Nathan Grabau thanks for the recommendation! The high fees I was referring to aren’t even for filling this year. It’s their projected fees for next year..if they decide to “onboard” me. I’ll definitely check out your recommendations!
