If You're Posting Ads in the Marketplace and Are NOT Engaging Elsewhere, You Are Missing Out!

I've noticed that we've got some members who are doing little other than posting their ads in the Marketplace here on the site and wanted to jump in with some feedback.

BiggerPockets is first and foremost a community. In order to build some rapport in the community, it is important that you engage in the discussions happening here. If you're only advertising, then people don't get to know you, and you don't have the chance to build your reputation or credibility amongst our users.

I've seen that those users who are active members get FAR better responses from their Marktplace posts than those who just post ads . . . I wanted to be sure that everyone doing that realizes that you could be getting MUCH more out of the site if you're active.

So . . . jump in and get involved in some discussions, welcome some new members, engage with other local users, and watch as your ads do better for you.

I agree - the community is what BP is all about! BTW, anyone wanna buy a property in Dallas - only $20K, perfect condition, just 10% of ARV, and it'll rent for $2K/month? Oh crap, it just burned down - never mind!
