Just in case your struggling with your Tax Sale/Overage or Excess Funds Business just a quick success story.  I was able to locate the County/Court Surplus Funds list and noticed the rightful claimant was deceased.

Through the help of a great skip tracing company I located the next of kin (sibling) and after getting him comfortable I was able to sent and received the agreement back within an Hour...I love using DocuSign!  Already have forwarded the information over to my attorney who has already emailed his agreement to them to start the recovery!  The excess funds on deposit are close to $65K...I love this business!!!

Why do I sense a collusiveness to these two posts?

I've done many surplus funds deals going back about twenty years.

In CA, an assignment must be notarized and, while I love Docusign too, it's pretty loose and is insufficient to protect your deal.

Using cover of an attorney is smart, however.
