Looking for credit partner

Hello, 

I am looking to refinance a property but need to find a partner with good credit. I am struggling to find anyone willing, even though its a good deal.  People seem apprehensive on real estate with the current economy. Has anyone experienced similar issues?  How can I improve my own credit quickly? Either way I like to work with partners since I am finding the deals and doing the work, and putting down the money in most cases.
