Looking for a Real Estate CPA in Houston, TX

David Oloyede
Posted

Hi! I’m currently looking for a knowledgeable CPA who specializes in real estate to help with filing my 2023 tax return. I bought my first duplex in late 2023 and have extended my filing deadline to October 15th. I’ve kept pretty good bookkeeping, and I’m looking for a CPA who is great at finding savings and maximizing deductions on real estate tax returns.

I’m based in Houston, TX, so ideally, I’d like to find someone local, but I’m open to any recommendations or leads.

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you are looking for someone local, feel free to reach out to @Michael Plaks.

The good thing about Texas is that the state does have have a state income tax which therefore does not require you to have a specialist of state tax laws where you are a resident of.

You may want to work with an accountant who is also a real estate investor, normally, they will be better suited ot ask you questions to understand your situation and potentially recall you of expenses that you may have forgotten about.

Best of luck to you in your search.
