Rookie Seeking Mentorship

Hey there. I'm a #realeastaterookie in the metro Detroit area. I am seeking mentorship to help me get started on real estate investing. A bit about me: I'm working on a small budget, but real estate investing has been a long-term dream of mine. I believe if you're committed, there's a way.... It's worth noting that I'm also doing this solo (only my income) while in grad school and working. My goal is to buy my first property in the next 6-12 months.

First, I would like to use the house hacking method with an FHA loan to generate passive income. Eventually, I would like to move on to other strategies that are more passive than active. I also want to balance out real estate investing with other types of investing strategies.

As a rookie, the first place I started was the Real Estate Rookie book, online searches, and The Book on Rental Property Investing (in my audible library but not yet listened to). In the first chapter, Ashely Kehr says, "Go find yourself a mentor," so here I am!

If you're open to mentorship (virtual or in person) or have suggestions on how I can connect with others in the area who can provide support and accountability, I'd love to know. Thank you!

Rachael
