General Contractor (GC) Recommendations- Pittsburgh

Posted

*Anyone have any GC recommendations with construction / investor experience in Pittsburgh?

I'm currently working on rehabbing 4 properties (3 single family flips + 1 duplex hold) on the North Side and am questioning the abilities of the general contractor we've been using now for ~6 months. Progress on each property has been excruciatingly slow and, while he's a nice guy, he seems to be in over his head and often finds excuses for the lack of progress being made. We started working with Red Sweater Renovations back in January in order to give our GC some healthy competition, however, we learned that they sub-contract out 100% of their work (which led to minimal accountability and bloated costs).

We'd love to build a relationship with a GC that does at least half of their work in-house (vs. subbing it all out).  Thanks in advance!
