How important "the communication" in Property Management

In a suburban neighborhood, we rented a property to a tenant, Ms. Ola. She discovered mold in her bedroom closet, which caused health issues for her and her family. Feeling frustrated and concerned for their well-being, Ms. Ola threatened to make a claim against the owner of the property. As things came to the knowledge of our Property Hero (Property Manager) he immediately called Ms. Ola and assured her to resolve the issue ASAP. He then explained the situation to the owner to rectify the mold problem and took him in confidence so that the owner, tenant, and property manager would be on the same page.  He then arranged for a professional mold inspection to assess the extent of the problem. Concurrently, he thoroughly reviewed the property's insurance policy to determine coverage for mold remediation. Upon confirming coverage, he liaised with the insurance company to file a claim. He effectively communicated with both Ms. Ola and the property owner throughout the process, keeping them informed of each step taken until the issue was resolved.

Throughout the ordeal, the Property Hero’s exceptional communication skills and proactive approach ensured that Ms. Ola's concerns were addressed promptly and effectively. Despite the potential for tension between the tenant and the owner, he succeeded in talking with them to solve the issue amicably which resulted in a win-win situation for each party.

So, good and timely communication allows parties to understand each other's perspectives, motivations, and concerns. It fosters trust between the parties and helps to prevent conflicts from escalating into more serious disputes or confrontations.
