First Time Buyer Looking to House Hack

Posted

Hey there!

My name is Kundayi Mugabe, and I currently work as a civil engineer in Chicago. I am looking to buy my first property (ideally a 2 - 4 unit), live in 1 unit, and rent out the rest. One of the unique elements of my situation is that I am currently living in the US via an F1 visa and am working with my company to transition to a work visa (H1B). That said, I am currently talking to several mortgage brokers and lenders to try and identify the best financing options available to me.

In the hopes that I do get decent financing options, I am explicitly posting to ask if anyone has:
1) Suggestions on finding great multifamily deals in the Chicagoland area?
2) Recommendations on property managers, contractors, accountants, and lawyers?

Thanks in advance!
