New Austin initiative - HOME - 3 units on any single-family parcel in the city

Hello Bigger Pockets community!

If you're in Austin, TX (or have been investing there), you've probably heard about HOME - an initiative recently passed by City Council to allow up to (3) units on most single-family zoned parcels in the City. This is a once in a generation opportunity to increase housing opportunity citywide, and we're keen to work with homeowners / landowners / investors / builders who want to understand the development potential of specific sites. "We" is Cedar - a tech-enabled real-estate consultancy based here in Austin. If you're interested, please feel free to fill out the form here and we'll be in touch to discuss the property and how we can maximize its yield using HOME.

@Kyle Vansice I’ve been in Austin over 30 years and have yet to see any meaningful regulations that move the needle in a big way. I’m cautiously optimistic on the HOME initiative, but I think we’re in for a long process with lengthy legal disputes before any of these ideas are implemented.
