Connor Benn

Hi Everyone.

I am a new investor in the Tampa Bay area and am in the process of finding good investor friendly lenders. My wife and I are looking to house hack on a duplex to begin our investing careers! Let me know!

Hi! I'd recommend a direct lender who has the capability to price your loan out through multiple banks/investors to get you best interest rate/program.

Connor, do you have an idea of where specifically in Tampa you're looking and what your price range is? Turnkey vs. small vs. full rehab? Hard money vs. traditional financing? Answers to these questions will be really helpful in finding the lender best fit for your investing strategy. I just sent you a private message, let me know if there's anything I can do to help!

Check in with your agent.  They'll have recommendations who are not on BP as well.

Hello Connor Benn, the first step is to get Pre-qualified by a Bank for a Loan.

@Connor Benn

Connor,

I do a lot of investor work here and house hacks as well. Depending on your budget and cash position, getting into a duplex here is probably NOT a wise start for your house hack. There are definitely better routes.

As for lenders, dm me and I'll send over a great one.

Connor,

Have you found a good lender? I'm seeking a revolving line of credit on a home in Palm Harbor that has an old roof. So far everyone wants insurance, but so far insurers reject an old roof regardless of condition. The lot is worth three times the limit I 'm seeking, but that doesn't seem to matter.
