NEED HELP RENTAL SQUATTER

Ivette Espinosa
Posted

My tenant passed away in hospital 8/20/21. The condo is for seniors only.  The daughter is not a senior. I called the tenant see why rent was late and tenants daughter answered. She informed me tenant died but she did not answer any of my previous voicemails until 8/30/21.  I asked when she wanted to coordinate time to have tenants items removed from the condo. The daughter stated she moved in and will stay about 2 months until she finds an apartment. The daughter did not live with the tenant. Daughter is taking advantage of the situation and does not want to move out. This is a horrible situation. 2 months of rent have not been paid. I do not want her to pay rent. I want to recoup my condo to get it ready to rent. What can I do? Can someone help. I should not have to evict because the daughter did not live there and is not on the lease. I appreciate any advice. Thank you I advance.
