Indemnification in the lease
How much legalese do you include in your leases? Is an indemnification clause illegal in Colorado?
I’m using the lease that I got from bigger pockets a couple years ago and my perspective tenant says the laws have changed and that I can’t include indemnification in it. Also that I cannot have the waiver of a trial by jury.
Thoughts on this? He was also worried about the language that says he won’t do anything dangerous because it’s too broad and can be interpreted in many ways. Should I stay firm or make changes?
Thanks!
