Eviction in California

Hello.. I own an income property in California. Some tenants stopped paying rent and was damaging the property. I started an eviction in April 2021, (not for non-payment but for the damage on the property) it’s now July and I don’t even have a case number. I’m wondering now if I move in there, being the owner, giving them notice… would they legally have to leave?

I appreciate any advise.
