I purchased a 3family 1 1/2 years ago next to 4 abandoned buildings. All 4 abandoned buildings have been bought by developer& now I found out their back yard includes all the land up to my building.

I lost my access to the back yard.

Can I claim a prescriptive easement ?

The steps gate were removed by developer.

It has been in continuous use since Former owner owned the 3 fam for 15-20 years.
