IRS Deadline Postponed
The April 15th deadline has been postponed by the IRS to May 17th (IR-2021-59). This postponement is for filings and payments originally due April 15th.
Note that the postponement does not apply to 2021 Q1 estimates, which remain due April 15th.
Also note that the IRS can only postpone federal returns. States may or may not conform and postpone their returns, or they may choose a different postponement date.
