Title Company in Huntsville, Al

I have a question, as it has come up recently and have not found any resolve.

A local Title company was approached during the underwriting of a property currently under contract, in escrow with a different, local title company. HSV, AL

Reason for this, is that the last transaction on this property was recorded wrongly, DID NOT PROVE GOOD and CLEAN TITLE, because now that its being sold, we have been stuck like this for 2 weeks. There is a cloud on the title, there are 2 missing heirs and now we are going through hoops to find out what to do to move forward.

The Attorney who signed off on the most previous settlement statement is still with this title company and should be the one this falls back on, and I feel as though this could be a serious issue if there's no resolve, and soon.

The owners Title Policy Insurance should have a provision for this, but its been almost 2 weeks.

What can we do?

Any advice is much appreciated!
