SSN used for whatever whoever wants

I am currently selling my house. I'm filling out the title form and it's asking me for my social security number. I don't easily get this out as most people probably shouldn't and I don't want to at all in this situation. Nor do I think it needs to be used. I understand I has to be recorded for taxes and all that good info but I am now required to have a federally mandated Texas id/driver's license. That's is what now should be used in these situations to identify who I am. SSNs should now not be used for identification purposes now that the feds are mandating and regulating State IDs. I grow weary of this robotic crap. Have a nice day all.
