Driving For Dollars--Do You Document Every Address For Mileage Writeoff?

When driving for dollars, etc how do you document mileage? Do you simply use a starting and ending figure stating you were driving looking for deals? Do you keep addresses for verification (if that is even possible). What would most consider the best way to validate mileage for the purposes of mileage reimbursement? I believe the current rate is around .50/mile and that can add up if you do a lot and at some time that vehicle will need replacement. Thanks all!
