Solar for rental house in San Jose CA
Dear Everyone,
I am planning to put Solar panels for a rental house in San Jose, California. I have question about tax for 2020 and 2021. Can I still have tax deductible for Solar panel?
Thanks,
Hoang

Yes. Solar panels on a rental are deductible, however they are most likely an improvement that would be capitalized and depreciated (i.e. deducted) over time.
More importantly, you'll want to ascertain if you qualify for any tax credits regarding the solar system investment.
