Investing on an F1 VISA - am I infringing the law?

Posted

I’m an international student in an American university. I’ve done my due diligence and I’m ready to start making offers.

However, I don't know if I'm allowed to put the money to buy a property in my student bank account or even set up an LLC as such. I would also like to apply for a mortgage, but I don't know if I'm eligible.

I really appreciate any advice. I’ve spent hours researching and trying to call offices like the IRS but still haven’t found an answer.
