Need a CPA for the First Time -- Advice on Finding the Right One

BACKGROUND: I own 6 properties in 3 states (CA, AL, and TX), plus I moved to UT this year. This means 3 state files (nothing for TX) plus the federal. I can handle all that in my taxes as I have for years... BUT I did my first 1031 this year and I don't want to screw it up. Also, my H&R Block software doesn't seem to play well with the 1031.

QUESTION:Any advice on selecting a CPA? Obviously, I need somebody who has familiarity with 1031s, real estate, and multi-state scenarios. Will most/all CPAs handle that well or do I need somebody who specializes?

Side-question: roughly what would one expect to pay?

Thanks!

Ben
