Lender paid closing costs, qualifies for deduction/amortization?

Hey guys!
If you bought a rental and closing costs were paid by the SELLER/LENDER, can you still deduct/amortize the closing costs? (from HUD).

I know on a personal residence you can deduct the POINTS even if the seller/lender covered closing costs, but how about for rentals?
thanks!
