Prop 58 _Claim for Reassessment Exclusion
My parents have recently left their home to my sister and I. (still alive and well :) However the paperwork for the Claim for reassessment exclusion for transfer from parent to child was never submitted. I am just finding this out now because we are receiving a new tax bill which has done an assessment on the property and raised the taxes! This is CA Prop 58 if anyone is familiar or can point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Is it too late to submit the form now? Can anything be done to correct this?
Thank you!
